The best thing I have done for my mental health is stop thinking about work over the weekend. I worry so much less. I sleep so much better. It is a lot easier now that we are debt free (except for the house), and I don't agonize over every $5 purchase anymore. Because really, we work for money.
I have so much empathy for people who are struggling with finances. The strain can be a huge distraction and burden to carry. I say this in gratitude for all of the comfort I have, the comfort I can offer to my kids, and all the help I have had and continue to received from my family.
Taking the tot to his new preschool (first full day!) is fun, and a nice start to the week. He loved putting his own lunch in his lunch bag and was so excited to go to school. I am so glad he is getting enthusiastic about school already!
