I picked a domain name. I hope you all enjoy the 5th grade humor as much as I do. Please check out my blog posts as well.

My September pics are fairly repetitive. Harvest the greenhouses, enjoy the
late-summer blooms in the gardens, work, repeat. That is a decent summary of
what I have been up to. The one exception was a wonderful day of fishing and
leaf peeping in the Wet Mountains with Chuck and Maggie. Garrett got his first
fishing trip, and they taught me a lot about what I will need to know to Garrett
more often. We also toured Bishop's castle. It was the best day of the whole
month for me. Good friends are invaluable.
No pictures of Mikela, she generally comes over during the week to see the
dogs, but otherwise is working hard at school and work. Her grades reflect
this nicely as well, which is a balm to my soul.
Garrett seems to really like his new school, Sidewalk's End Montessori. I love
it, as it reminds me of Northwoods Montessori that Pamela and I attended in
Atlanta. I hate that he is ALWAYS the last kid to be picked up, but he seems
to enjoy the individualized attention. His language and maturity is reflective
of the new environment.
My car. Le sigh. After Subaru decided not to fix the engine in my Outback, I
bought a Rav4 Hybrid. Not happy to spend the money, but the XLE is the nicest
car I have riden in. Love the handling and getting 40 mpg in an SUV! A big
downside is that buying a car took all the money I had set aside for a barn.
So that project is put off until Spring. I think I can still breed at least
one goat in December, as long as I have a warm place for the kids by April.
Rob's honey harvest was exciting, our biggest yet! We had so much rain that
there were TONS of wildflowers, and it never got hot so they lasted longer than
I have ever seen. I'm not sure what aspect of this had the biggest impact, but
I imagine they all contributed. Rob's wood turning hobby is producing a bit
too much, so we are setup to do the German Christmas Market at the local
brewery. This will help figure out what sells the best, and good price points.
I hope fall is beautiful and bountiful for you all!
