March had a lot of good things in store for us, but I also lost someone dear to me. My grandmother, Patricia Malvern (my step-father's mother) died at the age of 96. I am so blessed to have had her in my life, she was a source of strength for me in rough times, she was always giving to others of her self, especially me. When I was pregnant with Mikela she would tell me stories of her life for hours (seriously, hours on end) while she tried to teach me to sew making my maternity clothes. These stories were always relevant to what I was going through, and what I was facing in the future, and sustained me through quite a bit of struggle. I should have recorded them, but the young are often short sighted. She was funny and more concerned for others, even in hospice. She made Mikela laugh through her entire visit. The greatest generation indeed.

For spring break we went to New Mexico to visit Rob's family, it was one of the best visits we have had there because there is so much more to do in springtime than the winter. Lots of great hikes and good times.
